Baan Womanifesto

Baan Womanifesto, initiated by Nitaya Ueareeworakul in 2023 in northeastern Thailand’s Udonthani province, provides a communal space for artists. It offers residencies and homestays where artists engage with local communities and participate in workshops and educational programs focused on art and culture exchange.

WeMend: Stitching Connections
2023 - 2025

WeMend is a participatory workshop and social space where visitors and community groups come together to sew, embroider, patch, and upcycle fabric pieces. Initially introduced at the Womanifesto: Flowing Connections exhibition in Bangkok, it has since been set up globally by Womanifesto artists.

The fabrics, merged into one continuous piece with unique cultural imprints, form a shelter-like structure at exhibitions. This meditative hands-on activity fosters connections and explores the possibilities of convergence, inviting individuals to slow down, commune, converse, and connect in our fragmented times.
